STIR-FRIDAY NIGHT! is Chicago's first and ONLY professional Asian American comedy troupe performing all original material. SFN looks at the world and life from a unique and fresh approach, from an Asian American perspective. Until SFN, there had been no such venue in the Midwest where Asian Americans could perform.

STIR-FRIDAY NIGHT! gives Asians a platform in which to express and relate their experiences of growing up Asian American. With many of the cast members having studied and performed at such comedic training institutions such as "The Second City Training Center", "ImprovOlympics'' and ''The Player's Workshop", the SFN cast is fast becoming one of the tightest and most creative ensembles around. By being created, written and produced by Asians, the show allows us, as Asians, to control and represent ourselves in a more truthful, meaningful and positive manner.

A contemporary show, STIR-FRIDAY NIGHT! is a fun, fresh and exciting production that uses current events, historical relevancy and poignancy in its' works. By design, not all of SFN's material may necessarily be Asian based, so as to not LIMIT our audience to Asians, but to EXPAND and educate our audience, to show that comedy and a sense of humor are universal and to ultimately create a better understanding between the groups. We hope to offer our audience a new view of the humanistic side of all Asians, particularly to those whose views about Asians and Asian 'culture' and experiences have been limited to that which they see on T.V. in the movies, or at local community events.

STIR-FRIDAY NIGHT! has successfully produced five shows, their premier opening shows at the '"George St. Cafe", their special performance at Loyola University, To Hop Sing, Thanks For Everything, Connie Chung!, and their most recently sold out shows at the TurnAround Theater, The Return of the Yellow Menace!, the Bailiwick Arts Center, YM II: Birth of The Yellow Menace!, and The Secret Life of Kung-Fu Charlie, at the Chopin Theatre.
