Spice Girl parody needs lead

Emerald Rain Productions is casting an Asian American Female lead for a new musical parody of the Spice Girls called GIRLWORLD.

The production features 14 original songs and incorporates contemporarythemes of immigration and urban re-development into a comic-satiricsetting. Like the real Spice Girls, the part calls for strong acting,exuberant dancing, and minimal singing. Show opens on April 10. Rehearsals begin soon.

Emerald Rain Productions is also seeking staff and crew members for publicity, outreach,sound, set-building, running crew, etc.

For Asian Story Theater's production of THE WHITE SNAKE. Performances are April 11-19 (San Diego) and 21-23 (San Francisco), daytimes and some evenings. Non-union or Equity waiver production, pays approximately $1000 total. Rehearsals to be weekends from March 7/8, in San Diego, then daily from April 4. Transportation and lodging provided in San Francisco (and possibly in San Diego from April 4-19).
