Pacific Overtures extended to May 3

Due to popular demand, East West Players has extended its inaugural production of PACIFIC OVERTURES through May 3, 1998. Performances are Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8:00pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. The David Henry Hwang Theatre at the Union Center for the Arts is located at 120 N. Judge John Aiso Street (formerly San Pedro Street). Tickets can be purchased by calling Telecharge at 800-233-3123, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or in person at the EWP business office at 244 South San Pedro Street, Suite 301, Los Angeles, CA 90012, Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm. Senior and student prices are available. For group rates, call 213-625-7000, Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Directed by Tim Dang with musical direction by Scott Nagatani, PACIFIC OVERTURES is the first production of East West Players' inaugural season at the new David Henry Hwang Theatre. East West Players next production is the special engagement, world premiere musical HEADING EAST, book and lyrics by Robert Lee, music by Leon Ko. Presented in part by the California State Library and the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department, HEADING EAST is set to open on May 29 and closes on June 12, 1998. Following are the world premieres BIG HUNK O' BURNIN' LOVE by Prince Gornilvilas, and LAVA by Edward Sakamoto. The dates for these two shows are to be determined.
