PhilipKan Gotanda News

If the REVUE hasn't mentioned it before, Philip Kan Gotanda was recently named an artistic associate at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, perhaps the top Equity theatre in the Seattle area. This is due, in large part, to Phil's long artistic association with new Seattle Rep artistic director Sharon Ott, who directed the premieres of Yankee Dawg You Die and The Ballad of Yachiyo.

They continue their association as the Seattle Rep premieres the Sisters Matsumoto, about three sisters returning to their father's Stockton farm after years of internment in WW II. The show then travels to the Bay Area, where it will appear in April 1999 as a co-production between the Seattle Rep, San Jose Rep and the Asian American Theatre Company.
