Well, the Revue just got this in over th e-mail transom the other day....

"Look out! Just sizzling Hot off the printing presses! Slant is featured in a chapter of a just-released book titled Laughing in the Dark, A Decade of Subversive Comedy. Written by Laurie Stone and published by the Ecco Press, Slant is in Chapter seven- "Postmodern Clowning, Spiking Simple Pleasures." Ms. Stone has included in her book a wide range of performers such as Whoopi Goldberg, Holly Hughes, Tracey Ullman, John Leguizamo, Damon Wayans, Robin Williams, and many others. "We just finished recording the songs from our shows for our CD. Right onto that! Now another couple of months for the final mix down. We are targeting early December to have it ready for the CD presses.

"On October 1st Rick & Wayland will be trying out some new material at Dance Theater Workshop as part of DTW's "Hit & Run Festival." (Perry will still be out of town then). Their reservation line is 212-691-6500. Just to let you know this will be a showing of works-in-progress along with another group. Should be a short evening......we think."
