Teatro Ng Tanan offers classes for 1998

Teatro Ng Tanan, the Bay Areas Filipino based theatre company, offers the following are "pay-what-you-can-afford" workshops open to the community. Space is limited so RSVP (415) 974-1384 ASAP!

HOW TO CREATE A THEATER RESUME
Tuesday, January 20, 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., TnT Admin Office
Instructor: Art Desuyo

No need to fret anymore when someone calls you to audition or to apply for a theater gig! This workshop will help you put together a theater resume that will include all your great work in TnT and other productions (school, church, et cetera). Art Desuyo received his training in San Franciscos American Conservatory Theater and the Asian American Theater Company. He has worked in twenty theater productions, and only one featured him as a Filipino (TnTs Kin/ Kamag-anak). His film work includes three shorts and two features. In Dumbarton Bridge (scheduled to premiere at Cannes Film Festival this year), Desuyo is supporting to Tom Wright and Esperanza Catubig.

HOW TO GET THAT PART YOU REALLY WANT! SUCCESSFUL AUDITIONING

Instructor: Esperanza Catubig

Requirements: Bring two contrasting pieces of 30 seconds to one minute in length.

This workshop will teach you basics of auditioning that you can use immediately. speranza Catubig has been acting for twelve years and has performed with various theater companies. A San Francisco native, she graduated from School of the Arts and Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She will star in her first feature film, Dumbarton Bridge.

Instructor: Jeannie Barroga

Jeannie Barroga is the author of Walls, Eye of the Coconut, and Kenny was a Shortstop. The goal of this class is to create new works by local Filipino American writers that TnT will produce for its future productions (including Back to Back/ Kabilaan ^Ã98).
