Ma-Yi Theater does not accept unsolicited manuscripts. Playwrights interested in submitting their works for consideration should send a brief letter of inquiry with the following information:

Brief synopsis
Number of characters
Prior production history, and a list outstanding rights or encumbrances.
 
Ma-Yi Theater Company produces plays that essay Asian American experiences. Since we believe that the Asian American landscape is constantly changing and widening, we will consider works by non-Asian writers provided that the themes and ideas explored in the play conform to the mission of Ma-Yi Theater Company. We are especially interested in works that explore cultural and ethnic intersections, particularly between communities of color.
