On Friday, May 8, Asian MBA will sponsor an evening at the theatre to meet NWAAT's new Artistic Director Chil Kong and hear his vision for turning NWAAT into one of the most successful Asian American organizations in the nation.

As the incoming artistic director, Kong joins NWAAT during its 25th anniversary. Most recently, he worked at the San Diego Repertory Theater, where he produced and directed bi-national, multi-ethnic artistic collaborations.

Gold Watch explores the personal impact of the beginning of World War II on the Japanese American farming community of Pasco, WA as seen through the eyes of the Murakami family and their neighbors. Masu Murakami, is a stubborn, independent, spirited Japanese immigrant. He struggles to maintain not only his farm in a harsh climate but also his family as they face uncertainty against the backdrop of Executive Order 9066 and the evacuation of an entire community. Play is rated PG-13 due to mature content.
