StirFriday Night strikes again!

Stir-Friday Night!, the Midwest's premier Asian-American sketch comedy group, is performing their menu show at Second City's Donny's Skybox Theater in Piper's Alley. The shows will run on Friday nights, at 8PM, from June 9th to July 16th, along with shows by the top comedy groups of the city, including Salsation, GayCo, and Black Comedy Underground.

The menu show consists of the entire repertoire of scenes that the group has written and performed over their five-year history. The audience chooses the most appealing scenes from the menu according to their tastes that night. The result will be a different show each week.

Working in conjunction with The Second City Training Center, SFN! and the Second City teachers will run an intensive week-long workshop for aspiring actors and students. The workshop runs from June 5th through 9th, teaching the Second City improv style, along with SFN!'s own comedic influence, which culminates with an improvisational set on opening night at 7PM. The show features the students that have trained with SFN! and Second City teachers.

"It's exciting for Second City to be hosting this kind of collaboration," says Rob Chambers, Director of the Second City Training Center, "because it has enabled a dialogue to begin between a diverse group of companies and artists. Already there has been a sharing of information and resources which will make each group stronger in the long run."

Frances Callier, Executive Director of the Second City Training Center, agrees, "Improvising New Voices is Second City&Mac226;s most comprehensive outreach program to date. Our goal is to develop and nurture developing artists and companies from various cultural backgrounds so they may explore their own unique voices through improvisation and comedy."

"This is the greatest opportunity for minority actors to receive the most concentrated training and a taste of what it is like to perform comedy on stage," says Choky Lim, SFN! member. "You can't get this training anywhere else in the world."

If you would like to enroll in the workshop with Stir-Friday Night!, call 773 973 4533 to get registered. Ticket prices for the show are $12 for general admission, $10 for NAAAP and OCA members, and $8 for students with ID.
