Dark memories collide with present desires when a South Asian American writer embarks on a series of interviews with a reformed torturer seeking redemption. Pain, healing, illness, and heroic love resonate within the tangled strands of their lives and those around them, as spiritual forces become unearthed and human strength goes beyond its limits.
